Since it was Gertrude Stein last Friday, today it's Stein's companion, Alice B. Toklas.

Although during Stein's lifetime Toklas was always in the background, Alice B. may have had the last laugh. Her cookbook, The Alice B. Toklas Cookbook, has probably outsold anything that Stein ever wrote.
