Trees, Westview Park

This was a simple, but odd scene. The trees seemed off-kilter; the sky was darker than usual. The gravel path was two toned, running from a dark reddish grey to a light yellowish grey for no apparent reason. It was the oddness that first attracted my attention, and still attracts my attention.

Westview Park is Winnipeg's only real hill. It's a converted landfill, which is now home to joggers, cyclists, children, dogs, and innumerable prairie dogs, or gophers, if you prefer.
