I might have got carried away doing this painting. It was a dark night, but maybe not this dark.

The view is looking across a bay in the southeast corner of Mille Lacs Lake.

This is far from my favourite painting. There's something about the black trees against an ultramarine sky which does nothing for me. It reminds me too much of Maxfield Parrish (who I have nothing against, except that I find his work hard to look at for more than a few minutes).
