Headache

ink and gouache
45.7 x 30.5 (18" x 12")

I don't find this drawing too exciting. Maybe I've done too many similar drawings.

With his hand over his eyes the model looked, either in despair, or, like he might have had a headache.

Are 'fros (Afros) still in style? They are, at least with this model.

Turban 2

ink and gouache
38.1 x 27.9 cm (15" x 11")

It might look like the model is wearing a turban, but it's just her hair, painted in a quick if lax way.

Portrait of K.

ink and gouache
27.9 x 30.5 cm (11" x 12")

K. looks quite severe here. Somehow I managed to age her about thirty years. I'm hoping she'll forgive me.

I'm still tied up with work and will be for another week. For now I'll leave you with a wonderful painting by one of my favourite artists, Jean Dubuffet.
