I was drawing a week ago at the Académie de la Grande Chaumière in Paris. The Académie was founded in 1904, and has seen some well-known teachers and students.  More importantly for me, it offers daily open drawing sessions with a model.  I've only drawn there twice, both times with the same model, the one in this drawing.

I'm back from a month of touring France.  I managed to get a few drawings and watercolours done along the way.

This was done last Friday evening in the Louvre.  The sculpture is Mercure monté sur Pégase by Antoine Coysevox (1698).
